Buying a Consignment Bike

Some of our used bikes are owned by Bike Hounds and have been tuned up and certified by us. Our certified used bikes carry a 7 day buyer’s remorse refund warranty and a 6 month labour warranty.

Other used bikes are consignment bikes brought in by customers who want to sell their ride. If you like the look of one of our consignment bikes, you may be interested in the following information:

1. Bike Hounds does not own the consignment bikes. Their condition and price are the responsibility of the owner selling it.
2. Consignment bikes come from verified owners and we are happy to provide the original owner’s information to you if you need it (sharing their information is a requirement to sell through us).
3. Consignment bikes carry no warranty.
4. Consignment bikes must be purchased with cash (you will receive a receipt – the cash restriction is due to the original owner only accepting cash!)
5. Consignment bikes are not subject to tax.

Despite the fact that consignment bikes do not necessarily go through the rigorous tuning that certified DBH used bikes do, you can rest assured that we are picky about the bikes that get approved for consignment – they will always look and ride great!
